I’m a second-year graduate student at Naropa studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Contemplative Art Therapy.
Previous to enrolling at Naropa, I worked for two decades as a visual effects artist, animator, and compositor for TV & Film in New York City. My digital art experience extends to interactive platforms and Virtual Reality, and I am particularly excited to skillfully bring these technologies into the art therapy space. During a time that technology dominates many of our lives, I believe that what matters most in our relationship with it is balancing consumption with creation.
I value humanistic, contemplative, transpersonal and psychoanalytic approaches, and consider modalities leveraging creativity, self-inquiry, and non-verbally expression to be uniquely promising. I identify as neurodivergent, and am especially committed to serving the population.
Outside of work and school, I spend my time volunteering, designing and 3d printing objects for the visually impaired, teaching, advancing my mindfulness and contemplative practice, and, on occasion, video games.
