Lauren Durkin

Licensed Social Worker, LSW

Hello! My name is Lauren Durkin, and I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Colorado. I earned a Masters of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Bachelors of Social Work from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I have a passion for supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My areas of focus include family relationships and dynamics, challenges within the school environment, anxiety and depression, and behavioral concerns. I believe that each person brings their own unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives, and I strive to create a space where those strengths can be recognized and celebrated.

My approach to therapy is grounded in systems based practice. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand the different factors that may be impacting their lives, while helping individuals to identify their own strengths and develop strategies to help them feel more confident, empowered, and independent.

I believe everyone deserves to feel accepted, valued, and proud of who they are. My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where you can feel safe being yourself, exploring challenges, and working toward the changes you want to make.
