Kuiana Askew
Licensed Social Worker, LSW

Hello! I'm Kuiana Askew, a Clinical Social Work Candidate in Colorado with a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I am deeply passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming therapeutic environment where autistic and neurodivergent children, adolescents, adults, and their families feel heard, respected, and empowered. I value meeting clients as individuals and honoring the unique, beautiful ways each person experiences and navigates the world.
My clinical experience includes providing therapy and support through assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and specialized therapeutic interventions. My background is grounded in trauma-informed and strengths-based practice. I integrate evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play-based therapy, wellness therapy, and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST)—tailoring them to support unique neurodivergent clients. I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on compassion, authenticity, and active listening.
I strive to create a space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while developing practical tools that support individual growth and greater well-being.
When I'm not working, you can find me exploring creative projects, focusing on self-development, and practicing wellness. I love finding ways to stay grounded, mindful, and connected to the holistic practices that bring me peace and joy.
I look forward to connecting and supporting you along your journey

I am accepting new patients and providing both in-person in Aurora, CO and teletherapy.
