I'm James McGowan I'm from Glasgow, Scotland but moved to Colorado in 2023 after spending time in Germany, and Texas. I completed my undergrad in Criminal Justice in 2012 where I worked mostly with kids. There I established my passion for working with families and kids to help make significant changes in their lives. When I moved to Colorado I discovered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

I started in ABA in October 2023, and instantly fell in love with the job. Helping kids learn new skills and seeing them grow always makes my day. I knew this was my calling and decided it was time to go back to school. I started working on my masters in ABA at the University of Arizona State and will be graduating December 2025. I hope to finish my fieldwork around March of 2026. I'm grateful for the opportunity at Autism West for me to continue advancing my career and helping the kids become their most independent selves.

When I'm not working you can find me on a disc golf course, hiking, skiing, or trying new restaurants with friends
